Municipal Borough of Heston and Isleworth

The Municipal Borough of Heston and Isleworth was a district in the metropolitan area of the British capital London. It existed from 1894 to 1965 under various names and was in the south of the former county of Middlesex.

History

Heston and Isleworth were originally Civil parishes in the Harde ( hundred ) Isleworth. 1894, merged the communities and formed an Urban District. This was awarded in 1932 the status of a municipal borough.

With the establishment of the Greater London administrative region in 1965, emerged from the Municipal Boroughs Brentford and Chiswick and Heston and Isleworth and the Feltham Urban District of the London Borough of Hounslow.
