Novara di Sicilia
Novara di Sicilia is a municipality of the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 1389 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Novara di Sicilia is located 68 km southwest of Messina. The inhabitants work mainly in agriculture and crafts.
The neighboring municipalities are Fondachelli - Fantina, Francavilla di Sicilia, Mazzarrà Sant'Andrea, Rodì Milici and Tripi.
History
In the field artifacts were found from prehistoric settlements, especially in the cave Riparo della Sperlinga. The present town is of Norman origin.
