Osman Arpacıoğlu

Osman Arpacıoğlu ( born January 5, 1947 in Ankara ) is a former Turkish football player.

Club career

Arpacıoğlu began his professional career at Hacttepe. After one season he left Hacettepe and played for Mersin Idman Yurdu. For Mersin Idman Yurdu he played for four years, scoring 55 goals, thus he is the top scorer in the club's history of Mersin Idman Yurdu. This performance attracted interest at the Istanbul clubs. Fenerbahce signed him.

Fenerbahce was in the 1972/73 season for the first and only time scorer. It was followed by two Meisterschaftsttitel for the seasons 1973/74 and 1974/75 Turkish soccer champions. The Turkish Cup he won with his team in 1974.

At the end of his career Arpacıoğlu joined Balikesirspor. On 9 June 1980, he finished his career with the match between Balikesirspor against Fenerbahce.

Arpacıoğlu played 13 games for Turkey from 1968 until 1974.
