OTE
The Hellenic Telecoms AG, Greek OTE A. E. (short for Οργανισμός Τηλεπικοινωνιών Ελλάδος Organismos Tilepikinonion Ellados " Organization of Telecommunications of Greece" ), is a former state-owned telecommunications company in Greece. The state still holds 10% and the German Telekom 40 % plus one share stake in the company whose shares are traded on the Athens Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange and are listed in Athex Composite Share Price Index. The entrepreneurial management lies with the Deutsche Telekom.
History
The OTE was founded on 23 October 1949 as a state-owned company. Since 1996, the OTE is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1998 and on the New York. 2003, the Group began in Greece ADSL offer.
