In defense of the place it was secured with a brushwood fence to the outside; There were two entrances: In the south the " Höhn villages gate" towards Preetz and in the east the " Stakendorfer gate" in the direction of field marks.

The first sacral building of the place was a St. George's Chapel (built 1220 ), located west of remote wiping. The chapel was destroyed due to a storm flood. The font of the chapel is now in the tower room of the Evangelical Church.
