Somalia national football team
The Somali national football team represents the East African state of Somalia in football.
Somalia carries out since the early 1960s, the period after the founding of the state, international matches. It is remarkable that an official association has existed since 1951, when still was divided into British Somaliland, and the Trust Territory of Italian Somaliland the country. The first international matches lost Somalia, all very clearly.
Somalia has never had a great football team, wins are still rare. The country has never participated in an Africa or World Cup.

In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup Somalia met initially in return game to Ethiopia. After a 0-0 draw in the home match the return match with 0:5 lost, which Somalia was eliminated.
