Střelice (Brno-Country District)

Střelice ( German Strelitz, formerly Strzellitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers southwest of the center of Brno and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Střelice located in the highlands Bobravská left side above the valley of Bobrava in the source basin of the creek Střelický creek. The village is a railway junction where the branch line Střelice - Okříšky branches off from the main railway Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou - Brno. In the village are the railway stations and Střelice Střelice dolní. North of the motorway A1, take the next exit 190 runs Brno- západ is located about four kilometers northeast. To the northwest, the Haneka (350 m) and the Šibeník rise (428 m). Střelice located on the edge of the natural park Bobrava.

Neighboring towns are Popůvky and Troubsko in the north, Ostopovice in the northeast, Moravany in the east, in the southeast Nebovidy, Ořechovičky, Ořechov, Tikovice and Radostice in the south, U Nádrazí in the west and Omice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Strzielcz took place in 1375 in the foundation charter of the monastery royal box at Brno by Margrave Jan Heinrich and Elisabeth von Oettingen. The Order received it from the sovereign possession of the village Strzielcz with the Hayholcz, the village Černovice, the vineyard in Obřany, the suburb Trnitá and the mill in Doryn. At the end of the 14th century consisted of a Strzielcz Plebanie, which is first detectable with the establishment of the clergy Peter in 1393. 1539 was made in a border treaty between the Prior Peter and the owner of the domain Troubsko, Matthias Munk of Eibenschiitz between Střelice and Ostopovice a new border demarcation, in which the Charterhouse sold four fields of Střelice for application of a pond. On 12 January 1782, the Charterhouse was lifted on the King field in the wake of the Josephine reforms and their property subject to the religious fund. Subsequently started the sell off of the monastery's possessions and the court received Střelice Leopold Köffiller of Seckenberg. 1807 auctioned the Střelicer Halbhüfner Matous Holešovský the yard as emphyteutischen possession for 25,000 guilders. Holešovský -actuated exceptional purchase, for which he would not have been alone have adequate resources on behalf of a community of eleven Halbhüfner, ten Viertelhüfnern, five Familianten, nine Kötnern and the priest, Conductor, blacksmith and publican from Střelice. He then told the court on among the 39 shareholders.

After the abolition of patrimonial Střelice formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno team. 1856 took the Brno - Rossitzer Railway railway line Brno -Strelitz - Rossitz Blessing of God in operation. In 1870, the traffic on the railway line Grusbach -Strelitz was taken. The Strelitz station was built west of the village in an open field, there emerged later Bahnhofsiedlung (U Nádrazí ). In 1921, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Brno- venkov. Between 1948 and 1960 belonged to Střelice Okres Brno- okolí. After its cancellation Střelice came back to Okres Brno- venkov.
