Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly

The Archdiocese of Ernakulam- Angamaly (Latin: Archidioecesis Ernakulamensis - Angamaly ) is an Archdiocese of the united with Rome Syro -Malabar Church, the Thomas Christians of Malabar Coast of southwest India. The seat of the diocese is located on Mount St. Thomas at Ernakulam in Kerala, India. Your bishop is Major Archbishop and head of the Syro -Malabar Church.

On 28 July 1896, the Apostolic Vicariate of Ernakulam was established and charged on 21 December 1923 Archdiocese of Ernakulam. On July 29, 1956, the new Diocese of Kothamangalam were created from parts of the archdiocese. On December 16, 1992 the name was changed to Archdiocese of Ernakulam - Angamaly.

The Archdiocese are under the diocese and the Eparchy of Kothamangalam Idukki.
