Ulf Samuelsson

Ulf Samuelsson ( born March 26, 1964 in Fagersta ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player and current coach with a U.S. passport, which for the Hartford Whalers, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League played.
Playing career
The 1.85 m tall defender played in Leksand IF in the Swedish Elitserien, before he selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1982 as 67th in the fourth round of the Hartford Whalers ( drafted ) was.

From the season 2006/ 07 he worked as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL. First, he assisted Wayne Gretzky from 2009 to 2011, he supported Dave Tippett of the gang. In May 2011, Samuelsson was introduced as the head coach of MODO Hockey of the Elitserien. In July 2013 he was engaged in the capacity of assistant coach of the New York Rangers.
