Ultima Sports

The Ultima Sports Ltd. is a British automobile manufacturer who is established since 1997 in Hinckley ( Leicestershire ). Founder is Ted Marlow.

The company provides components for the conversion of Ultima racing cars of the Noble Motorsport Ltd. to road vehicles here. These cars were designed by Lee Noble, who today more for the sports car of his Noble Automotive Ltd.. is known.

Currently there are two models: the GTR and the Cabriolet Can- Am. Before the models were sports and Spyder built.

All models of the Ultima range, there were mainly as a kit, and in the U.S., this is the only way to buy an Ultima. For Europe, but some cars were also delivered ready built.

The preferred engine supplier of Ultima is currently American Speed , a company that deals with the tuning of Chevrolet V8 engines. With a GTR with a Chevrolet small-block V8 with 640 bhp (471 kW ) presented Richard Marlow 2005 performance record. This car is called GTR640 today.

2006 Ultima surpassed their own 0-100-0 mph record, which came from the GTR640, with the GTR720. Again This car had a motor of American Speed , who made 720 bhp now ( 529 kW). The new record of 9.4 sec undercutting the old sec 0.4 This is a new record for production cars with suitable for street tires and exhaust.
