VH1 Storytellers is the seventeenth album, or the fourth live album by Ringo Starr after the breakup of the Beatles. It was on 19 October 1998 in the UK: published ( USA 20 October 1998). It could not place in the charts themselves.

Genesis

Even before the publication date of the last studio album Vertical Man in June 1998, Ringo Starr began with the promotional work on this album. To this end, he went with his studio band Ringo and the Roundheads on a short promotional tour. The first concert took place on 12 May 1998 at the Bottom Line cabaret in New York. The second concert was recorded VH-1 Storytellers at Sony Music Studios in New York as well as live video as a live CD in the series. The title of the concert were enriched with small stories about the origins of the songs. Questions from the audience were also answered by Ringo Starr. The first broadcast of the concert was performed by the TV channel VH-1 on 28 June 1998 in USA.

Another appearance for VH-1 had Ringo Starr and the Roundheads on 17 June 1998, again in the Sony Music Studios, this was first broadcast on 11 September 1998. The following songs were sent as part of the series hard rock live:

A publication in the LP format was not made.

On 10 November 1998, a VHS video cassette VH-1 Storytellers at the label Polygram was sold video in the U.S. under the title. A DVD release was not far. The title sequence of the VHS video cassette is as follows:
