Ringo Starr and His All- Starr Band is the twelfth album, or the first live album by Ringo Starr after the breakup of the Beatles. It was on October 15, 1990 in United Kingdom: published ( USA 12 October 1990). In the U.S., the UK and Germany could not place in the charts themselves.

Genesis

After the release of the commercially unsuccessful compilation album Starr Struck: Best of Ringo Starr, Vol 2 in February 1989, Ringo Starr tried to reactivate his career.

Between January and June 1989, 20 episodes of the series Thomas the Tank Engine were sent in the U.S., where Ringo Starr is one of the narrators. The series was successful especially in under ten year old children.

On March 27, 1989 Ringo Starr took with Buck Owens Act Naturally on the song, which was released in July of the same year as a single, but was unable to place in the charts. A video was for the song was also recorded. Starr had the Owens hit in 1965 for the Beatles album Help! recorded.

On 20 June 1989 announced Ringo Starr at the Palladium Theatre in New York that he would go out with friends as Ringo Starr and His All- Starr Band on U.S. tour. From 23 July to 4 September 1989, the All- Starr band gave 23 concerts. The last two concerts were recorded in Los Angeles for the live album and the live video.

The concept of the performances of the All- Starr Band is that Ringo Starr concerts with his songs both opens and ends and between each of the performances of other artists singing a song or two, otherwise he plays drums. The artists who accompanied Ringo Starr on the coming tours, usually had passed the zenith of her career. The full program of concerts of the tour of 1989 was as follows:

Between October 30 and November 8, 1989 saw a brief tour of Japan with seven appearances. Since the first tour of Ringo Starr was not a commercial failure with his All- Starr Band, followed by 2012 more tours regularly, and it so far twelve different cast lists of the All- Starr band was.

After the album's release the record deal in Europe was not extended to the EMI.

Five of the 12 songs on the CD were sung by Ringo Starr.

No single releases were made from the album.

The song With a Little Help from My Friends by the Live video was released on the B - side of the 12 " vinyl / 5" CD single in June 1990 Nobody's Child by the Traveling Wilburys.

In the U.S., a limited version of Ringo Starr and His All- Starr band with an additional CD that contains four more songs sold.

In October 1990, a VHS video cassette under the title Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band Live in Concert was expelled from the Greek Theatre, Los Angeles The Video Collection at the label in the U.S. and Europe. The live video was recorded completely on 3 September 1989. In the following years, the concert was sold as a DVD with different labels. The title sequence is as follows:

For the purpose of promoting an American credit card company was an EP in the U.S. in 1995 published the following four songs: Yellow Submarine, It Do not Come Easy, Photograph and With a Little Help from My Friends. The first and fourth song is from the CD Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band Volume 2: Live From Montreux, the second and third song from the CD Ringo Starr and His All- Starr Band.

The CD release of 1990 has not yet been newly remastered.
