However, the car can continue with regular mandatory breaks and achieved in spite of the handicap to second place. Behind it, far behind due to technical problem is the car of Binnie Motorsports. As a class winner and in sixth overall in the Swiss Lola crossed by Horag Racing to the finish line.

Similar to the two factory Peugeots Monza can pull out a significant lead after the start, only the Zytek Arena Motorsports can go with the lap times of the turbo diesel. However, the vehicle falls due to a defective throttle cable from the third hour. The position takes over after a three-way battle of the Lola team, the vehicle of Jan Charouz, Stefan Mücke and Alex Yoong. The double victory for Peugeot is no longer to take them under normal racing conditions, as is pushed into the last hour of the race, the Peugeot with the number 7 into the box. The diagnosed clutch problems mean the end of the prototype. After the 6- hour mark is exceeded, the race is checkered. Approximately one hour before the race, it still looks for a class win for Raymond Narac and Richard Lietz, as the LMP2 driver Bruce Jouanny while lapping pulls back early on the racing line and Lietz relegates into the wall. This meant the end for the Porsche IMSA Performance and a 30 -second stop-and -go penalty for the team of Saulnier Racing.

1000 km Nürburgring

Thus, the Virgo Motorsport team finished the qualification, thanks to Robert Bell, with a 1:58,930 on the grid 31

After the start of the race, the two Peugeots can build distance to the rest of the field. Fastest petrol engine is the work of Courage by Jean -Marc Gounon and Guillaume Moreau, since both the Charouz, as well as Racing for Holland start due to technical inconsistencies from the last row. After a good half of the race the Pescarolo obsolete with the number 16 the lying third in Courage. During the first three places not change until the end of the race, stranded Jean -Marc Gounon in the gravel and can be freed with the help of the marshals. The team of Charouz Racing Systems and Creation Automotive use the unwanted life of courage, pull over and be counted in the target as a fourth and fifth.

The fastest LMP2 cars are after the start of the two Lola RML and Quifel ASM; Third place goes to the half of the race a few times between the Radical Embassy Racing and Zytek of Barazi - Epsilon. About two hours before the race may Karim Ojjeh overtake the vehicle of Quifel ASM and thus moves to the second class position. Since up to pan the checkered flag no further positions are swapped the leaders in the LMP2, Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos achieve their first class victory of the season.

The GT1 cars remain from the start close together, only the Saleen Team ORECA can settle something from the rest of the GT1 field. In the GT2 was the best starting position to Marc Lieb, who was able to learn the overall grid position 31 for the Felbermayr- Proton.

Already at the first corner, there is a collision of the courage with the Lola - Judd Chavouz. Both vehicles can drive on after a long break repair, but the race is over after 15 laps for the plant Courage. Undisturbed by accident driving both Peugeots which the field toughest rival is the Pescarolo sports car of Emmanuel Collard and Jean -Christophe Boullion. After an hour be at the Peugeot with the number 7 repairs made after the prototype can continue, but after a good ten minutes, the car is parked and abandoned in the box. Meanwhile, the positions of the LMP1 are made, the remaining Peugeot leads to the end of the race before both Pescarolos.

The race in the LMP2 designed to relatively unspectacular, while Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos may settle quickly, struggling in the first half of the race the Lola of Binnie Motorsports and the Radical Embassy to a podium finish in the Warren Hughes stranded at the end of the gravel. In the second half of the race also Binnie Motorsports gets in trouble, after a contact with the vehicle of Saulnier Racing cars of the several stages in the box needs to be repaired. 1000 km Silverstone

The 1000 km Silverstone Silverstone Circuit, near the town of Northampton, took place on 8 April 2007, and went over a distance of 195 laps of 5.141 kilometers for a total of 1002.495 km.

With a time of 1:31,692 Nicolas Minassian moves to the pole position, followed by his team-mate Pedro Lamy, who completes the front row for Peugeot. Fastest LMP2 is the Zytek Team LNT with a time of 1:35,149, thus overall grid position 4 in the GT1 Team Modena was noted down not only the first GT1 Qualifikationsbestzeit this season, but also the series on Team ORECA stop go for the first time this season behind another GT1 car in the race. With a lap time of 1:49,730, it is sufficient for Virgo Motorsports for start number 29, ahead of all other GT2 cars.

The two Peugeots to implement their starting position immediately into a guide and place quickly a gap between themselves and the rest of the field. Upon completion of the race half the Peugeot of Marc Gene overtakes a puncture, forcing him almost to hobble a complete lap around the course while between the Charouz Lola and Pescarolo with the number 16 flares up a fight for the order on the Siegerpotest. Beneficiary of this situation is the defaulted Peugeot, the duo quickly approaches and outdated around half an hour before the race ended. A few minutes later, the Peugeot continues with the number 8 in the box, the vehicle is inspected by the race and disqualified shortly thereafter because of the broken wheel well. The two Pescarolo Team inherit less than five minutes before race end positions 2 and 3

In LMP2 the lead may change up to the third hour of the race several times, then performs the Zytek of Barazi -Epsilon and gives it no longer up to the end of the race on. The forthcoming double victory slides the British manufacturer Zytek almost out of his hands, as the vehicle of Team LNT and the Binnie Motorsports Lola minutes stranded in the gravel before the race ended. However, Tom Kimber -Smith manages to free himself before the Portuguese Lola can overtake.

While in the initial phase of the GT1 cars are close to the other leg, the field thinned out due to driving errors from ever further. Therefore Modena performs in the third hour of the race team Team ORECA. Less than 2 hours before the race takes Stéphane Ortelli the lead in the GT1 standings and travels the French team for the fourth class win in this year.

Robert Bell and Gianmaria Bruni can quickly settle from the field, followed by the vehicles of IMSA Performance Matmut and Meyer- field proton. Mil Milhas

On the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, the last round of the Le Mans Series 2007 took place on 10 November 2007, and went for the first time over a distance of more than 1000 km. The race course was 374 times surrounded, which corresponds to a distance of 1611.566 km.

The qualifying session was the first time Stéphane Sarrazin decide for themselves, with a 1:18,787 he was thus around 0.2 seconds faster than his team-mate Nicolas Minassian and Marc Gené. For overall position 5 and class fastest LMP2 Michael Vergers filed a 1:23,449. In the GT1 multiple ALMS winner Olivier Beretta turned the Corvette of Luc Alphand on the eighth overall position. A front row starts behind the fastest GT2, piloted by Dirk Werner at the tenth position.

The 1000 miles race begins dramatically, the car on pole position comes not from the spot and can move only after the field is on the formation lap. The circuit is suspended between the aisles and the electronics therefore blocked the drive wheels. Pedro Lamy takes a good hour to his Peugeot from behind to take the second position and join the ranks behind his teammate. Half an hour later breaks with Jean -Christophe Boullion during braking of the Senna -S front suspension, he can intercept the car without the barriers to touch and then go into the box. After the race half- time crossing the Peugeot of Pedro Lamy and Stéphane Sarrazin is pushed to the pits to make repairs, but it may continue before the Pescarolo is back within striking distance. After the seventh hour of the race, the Peugeot with the number 8 must unscheduled visit twice the box, but can continue after a few repairs, but loses several rounds on the leading sister car. After 374 laps, the race is checkered. Pedro Lamy and Stéphane Sarrazin win as runner-up the championship.

Like the Peugeot, even the Pilbeam of Pierre Bruneau team can not start and is pushed into the box, can later go on though, but proposes in the second half of the race into the wall and thus obstructed the safe podium position. The two remaining LMP2 drive close together until the Embassy Radical loses after a takeoff into the gravel several rounds to the box and thus can save Juan Barazi, Michael Vergers and Karim Ojjeh its second class victory for Barazi - Epsilon.

In GT1, the Corvette of Luc Alphand team can quickly make the Aston Martin. After five hours, the projection is already seven laps, but the Corvette must shortly leave for a longer stay repair the lead in the GT1. Since the Larbre team makes no mistakes can this last round of the season recorded their first class victory of the season.

While the Felbermeyer Proton Porsche stand out in the GT2 with the number 79 and 88 by multiple punctures on the right rear, the sister car of Marc Lieb, Xavier Pompidou and Basseng drives a peril- class victory. Due to technical problems the teams of GPC and James Watt Automotive the Monegasque JMB Racing Team can carry two Ferraris on the GT2 podium, one of the vehicles is fully occupied with Brazilian local heroes. In other JMB Ferrari is among other championship leader Robert Bell, who has not brought his own Ferrari to Interlagos.

Total score

Drivers' championship

Within each of the four classes are the drivers of the vehicles first eight points distributed as follows: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Drivers who are not driving at least an hour will not get any points. If two or more drivers have the same number of championship points, those who are better off, which achieved the best individual result in the season. Do all drivers achieved the same result, priority is given to the person who can have the highest rankings with the result. Should all drivers have the same number of relevant results, one is rated better, who scored the item as the first result. Otherwise, all drivers occupy the same placement.

LMP1

The decision on the title in the drivers' championship was only in the last race of the season. Although Stéphane Sarrazin and Pedro Lamy led since the second race of the season, but it enabled the technical problems and the resulting residue in Silverstone Jean -Christophe Boullion, who could drive consistently in the points until then to catch up again. Due to the better result in the final race of the title was 4.5 points clear at Pedro Lamy and Stéphane Sarrazin. The second Pescarolo team driver Emmanuel Collard built already ahead of the championship, because he did not participate in the FIA GT at the 1000-kilometer race in Valencia because of obligations as a Porsche factory driver.

† - For the run at Interlagos only half points were awarded since fewer than five vehicles took part in this class in the race.

LMP2

The championship in the LMP2 was not decided by the course of the race at Silverstone. Both Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos, and Miguel Amaral, Miguel Angel de Castro and Angel Burgueño had a chance to win the championship. However, no one took the title contenders at the last race in South America part. As for the run in Brazil only three LMP2 cars were logged in the championship finally went to Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos, even if one of Quifel ASM driver had taken part in another prototype in the race. Because due to the small number of racing cars of the ACO decided to award only half championship points. Therefore, one could achieve for a win only five instead of the usual ten points. However, six points would have been necessary for a tie.

† - For the run at Interlagos were only awarded half points, as have participated less than five vehicles in the class in the race.

GT1

The situation in the GT1 Championship turned out to be similar to the LMP2. Three driver pairings were to win the GT1 title after the race at Silverstone still the possibility. However, were due to the small number of participants and the resulting halved championship points not enough points will be scored to snatch Stéphane Ortelli and Soheil Ayari the championship.

† - For the race at Interlagos only half points were awarded since fewer than five vehicles took part in the class in the race.

GT2

The decision on the title in the GT2 Robert Bell has already achieved prematurely by his victory at Silverstone. Teammate Allan Simonsen did not participate in this penultimate championship race, as he pursued commitments in the Australian GT Championship. After the Virgo Motorsport Ferrari in the last race did not compete in Brazil itself and the two drivers anheuerten at various other teams, fell only here the decision whether Robert Bell had to share the championship with his team mate or not. Robert Bell remained loyal Ferrari and changed for the run to JMB, while Allan Simonsen contested the race for the Porsche team James Watt Automotive. Through the achievement of scoring points Robert Bell has named the sole LMS GT2 champion 2007.

Team standings

LMP1

The 2007 season was a struggle reliability against speed. While the work of Peugeot vehicles were unbeaten at speed in every race, they lacked reliability. Here could trump sports especially the last year's champion team of Pescarolo, although you could decide not run this season for themselves, they reached the points in every race, often it was beaten only by the diesel prototypes. In the end it was enough but only for the runner-up title, however, was associated with an automatic invitation to the 24- hour race at Le Mans 2008. Le Mans Series champion in 2007 was thus Peugeot, who also received an invitation to Le Mans in 2008 next to the title.

† - For the race at Interlagos only half points were awarded since fewer than five vehicles that have participated in the classroom, in the race.

LMP2

The decision in the team championship in the LMP2 corresponded closely to the drivers' championship, because all the top teams completed the entire season with its main cast. So RML could decide the championship between runs, because the only Titelkonkurent did not compete in Brazil. As in the team standings both champions and runners-up received an automatic invitation to the 24- hour race at Le Mans, the number of participants on the last race was crucial. Quifel ASM gave up a trip to South America and enabled Barzai -Epsilon with a class win to catch up. In Interlagos but suffered only three LMP2 vehicles and so by decision of the ACOs only half points were awarded championship that secured the Portuguese team's runner-up.

† - For the race at Interlagos only half points were awarded since fewer than five vehicles that have participated in the classroom, in the race.

GT1

As in the drivers' standings, the decision of ACOs because of the number of participants was for the race at Interlagos to only awarded half points that championship decision. Thus, the Team ORECA was not to take the class title as they could, apart from the Mil Milhas decide each race of the season for themselves. The title of runner-up, however, was still open. However, team Larbre reported the Aston Martin with the number 51 for the race in Brazil. Once you noticed the mistake they asked for the ACO if it would be possible to swap the vehicle numbers in order to compete with the number of third-placed sister car allowed. The request was rejected because Luc Alphand Adventures thereupon appealed protest.
