2013 Echo Awards
The 22 Echo-Award of the German Phono Academy was held on March 21, 2013 in Berlin Palais place at the radio tower. The gala was hosted by Helene Fischer and First aired on television stations. When Echo 2013 there were 27 categories. The industry awards for "Trading Partner of the Year ", " media partner of the year ", " The most successful producer / producer team nationally ," " Critics Award " and the " honor - ECHO for social engagement " were during a charity dinner of the Foundation Music Helps on March 20 2013 ranges.
With a quota of 3.73 million viewers, the audience response was stronger than in 2012, as was achieved with 2.58 million viewers one of the worst audience values the history of the Echo-Award.

Controversy in the run-
Prior to the ceremony, the band Echo MIA. , Physicians and Kraftklub in protest against the nomination for their opinion, right-wing band Frei.Wild from South Tyrol from said their participation in the ceremony. Based on the discussion thus incurred the German Phono Academy felt compelled to withdraw the nomination for Frei.Wild.
