2015 World Rowing Championships
The World Rowing Championships 2015, from 30 August to 6 September 2015, the Lac d' Aiguebelette in Savoy (France) take place.
The race track was already the scene of the World Championships in 1997. The French bid sat at the congress of the International Rowing Federation ( FISA ) with 110:33 votes against the applications of Strathclyde ( UK) and Varese ( Italy) by.
The German Rowing Association ( DRV) also competed with the regatta course Beetzsee to host. The DRV but withdrew in May 2011, due to high financial risks back.
