1995 World Rowing Championships

The World Rowing Championships 1995, held from 20 to 28 August 1995 to the lake Caucasus Järvi near the city of Tampere, Finland under the rules of the International Rowing Federation ( FISA ). In 24 boat classes while rowing world champions were determined. The lightweight pairs without coxswain was here for the first time included in the program.

The competition also served as the main qualifying competition in view of the Olympic rowing regatta in Atlanta in 1996. After the number of participants had risen to 627 in rowing to Olympic Rowing Regatta in 1992, the number of participants was limited for the first time. A few more quota places for the Olympics in Atlanta could be obtained at a qualifying regatta in Lucerne in 1996 on the Rotsee.

Results

Here are the medal winners from the A- finals are listed. These were filled with six boats that had to qualify through pre-and hope runs and semi-finals for the finals. The track length was 2000 meters in all runs.
