1983 World Rowing Championships

The World Rowing Championships 1983 were held on the regatta course Duisburg in Germany under the rules of the International Rowing Federation ( FISA ). While rowing world champions were determined in 18 boat classes. The finals were held on 3 and 4 September 1983.


Here are the medal winners from the A- finals are listed. These were filled with six boats that had to qualify through pre-and hope runs and semi-finals for the finals. The track length was in all races of men 2000 meters, in all races of women 1000 meters.
