1996 World Rowing Championships

The World Rowing Championships 1996, held from 5 to 11 August 1996 to a lake in Strathclyde County Park near the city of Glasgow, Scotland, under the rules of the International Rowing Federation ( FISA ). The 14 Olympic boat classes were not held in 1996 due to the Olympic rowing regatta in Atlanta, so the rowing world champions were determined only in the 10 non-Olympic boat classes. Because of the small detection field, the World Championships were aligned together with those of the juniors.
