Liliana Gafencu

Liliana Gafencu ( born July 12, 1975 in Suceava ) is a Romanian rower. With three Olympic gold medals, she is one of the most successful rowers.

At the University of George Bacovia Bacau she studied sports. From 1996 to 2004 Gafencu won the Olympic gold medal three times in a row, the Romanian eighth. With Elisabeta Lipa, Doina Ignat, Liliana Gafencu and control Elena Georgescu four athletes were in all three Olympic victories there.

Liliana Gafencu sat in 1997 and 1998 in the Romanian world champion roller, 2003, she was awarded the eighth Vice World Champion behind the German boat.
