1979 World Rowing Championships
The World Rowing Championships 1979, held from 4 to 9 September 1979 to the Lake Bled in Bled ( Yugoslavia, now Slovenia) under the rules of the International Rowing Federation ( FISA ). While rowing world champions were determined in 18 boat classes.
Here are the medal winners from the A- finals are listed. These were filled with six boats that had to qualify through pre-and hope runs and semi-finals for the finals. The track length was in all races of men 2000 meters, in all races of women 1000 meters.
