2000 World Rowing Championships
The World Rowing Championships 2000, held from 1 to 6 August 2000 at the Lake Jarun in Zagreb, Croatia, under the rules of the International Rowing Federation ( FISA ). The 14 Olympic boat classes were not held in 2000 due to the Olympic Rowing Regatta in Sydney, so the rowing world champions were determined only in the 10 non-Olympic boat classes. Because of the small detection field, the World Championships were aligned together with those of the juniors. The competition took 417 athletes in 135 crews from 41 nations participate.
Here are the medal winners from the A- finals are listed. These were filled with six boats that had to qualify through pre-and hope runs and semi-finals for the finals. The track length was 2000 meters in all runs.
