Bobby Molloy

Robert " Bobby" Molloy ( born July 6, 1937) is an Irish politician and sat from 1965 to 2002 in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Molloy was first elected in 1965 for Fianna Fáil in the constituency of Galway West in the Dáil Éireann. During the 19th Dáil he was only until May 9, 1970 Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of Education and then Minister of Local Government, a position he held until March 14, 1973. During the 21st Dáil Molloy received a new ministerial post. This time he was on July 5, 1977 to December 11, 1979 Secretary of Defense.

In 1986, Molloy moved from Fianna Fáil for the Progressive Democrats. When his new party in 1989 formed a coalition government with Fianna Fáil, Molloy was 1993 Energy Ministers of 12 July 1989 until his resignation on January 4. Most recently, he held several government ministerial posts during the 28th Dáil. In the elections to the 29th Dáil Éireann, he no longer went to.

Molloy also belonged to the City Council of Galway from 1968 to 1969 and was mayor of the city.
