The Highway 1A in the Canadian province of British Columbia consists of former sections of Highway 1 These were ( mostly as a freeway for local bypass ) redrawn after the construction of various sections as Highway 1A, the route has a length of 84 km. In the past, other former sections of Highway 1 were performed as Highway 1A, but these have been downgraded in recent years in the road system.

The westernmost section with a length of 18 km is on Vancouver Iceland. To the west of Crofton branches off the route and passes through Crofton and Chemainus. South of Ladysmith Highway 1A flows back into Highway 1

The so-called Fraser Highway provides the central section dar. Over a distance of 38 km, it runs in a southwesterly direction through Surrey, crossing the highways 15, 10 and 13 It ends at Highway 1 west of Abbotsford.

By Chilliwack leads the easternmost section of this highway, the Old Yale Road. Originally, Highway 1 through the city, but it was built a highway even local bypass, the 28 km of the original route since then are distinguished as Highway 1A. It ends east of the city on Highway 9
