Courteix

Courteix ( Cortés in Occitan ) is a commune with 62 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The inhabitants call themselves Courteixois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin on the left bank of the Sarsonne.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 80 kilometers south-west, Aubusson in the Creuse approximately 45 kilometers north-west and slightly Ussel about 15 kilometers south.

Neighboring communities of Courteix are Couffy -sur- Sarsonne in the north, Aix in the east and southeast, Saint- Pardoux -le- Neuf in the south and Saint -Remy in the West.

The military training area of Camp de La Courtine, located about 12 kilometers northwest of Courteix.

Traffic

The village is located about 11 kilometers northwest of the junction 24 of the A89 autoroute.
