Fahren
Driving is a municipality in the district of Plön provost in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
Drive is approximately 15 km east of Kiel on the eastern shore of the lake Passader. About 5 km north of State Road 502 driving runs from Kiel to Luetjenburg and about 17 km south State Road 202, which also connects with Kiel Luetjenburg.
History
Archaeological finds show that the area was already inhabited in the Middle Stone Age. The town was first mentioned in 1240 under its then still Slavic name Warnow. From 1388 to 1873 he belonged to the monastery Preetz.
The Lowered mill, a Erdholländer, was built in 1882 and again in 1962 demolished.
Policy
The voters Community KWF has since the municipal election of 2008, all seven seats in the municipal council.
Economy
The municipal area is predominantly agricultural, many of the residents commute to Kiel or Schoenberg.
Attractions
In the center there is a small collection of historical paths stones which were collected from the environment.
