Großharrie

Großharrie is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein. Small Harrie, Brown Deer, Kleinharrieredder, Großharriefeld and Vogelsang lie in the municipality.

History

Archaeological finds in the municipality indicate a Neolithic settlement around Großharrie. The village was created as Rundling and is attested since the 13th century.

Geography and transport

Großharrie is located about 10 km north-east of Neumünster Dosenmoor. The place is between the Federal Highway 7 in the west, the Federal Highway 21 ( extension to the federal highway 404 from Kiel to Bad Segeberg ) in the east and the highway 430 from Neumünster to Plön.

Economy

The town has several farms, a country inn, a meat processing company, a country store, a saddlery and an operating are acting with forklifts. Furthermore, there is a primary school in the village.
