Karol Kennedy

Karol Estelle Kennedy, married. Kucher ( born February 14, 1932 in Shelton, Washington; † June 25, 2004 in Seattle ) was an American figure skater who started in pair skating.

Along with her brother, Peter, it was from 1948 to 1952 five times in a row U.S. champion in pair skating. Karol and Peter Kennedy, known as "The Kennedy Kids", took from 1947 to 1952 at the world championships. In the years 1947, 1949, 1951 and 1952 they were runner-up in London in 1950 and world champion. This was the first world title in the pairs figure skating for the United States.

The Kennedys run two Olympic Games. 1948 St. Moritz they occupied despite a back injury Karol's sixth place and in Oslo in 1952, they won the silver medal behind Ria and Paul Falk.
