Meyrin is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland, bordering on France.

Meyrin is with 22'431 inhabitants (as of November 30, 2013 ) is the fourth largest town in Canton and is located north of the Rhone. In addition to the city center near the old village Meyrin there in the community nor the places Cointrin and Mategnin.

The neighboring municipalities are Satigny, Vernier, Le Grand- Saconnex. The northern border is also marks the border between Switzerland and France ( Ain department ).

Meyrin provides 26,000 jobs in around 1000 companies and thus has more jobs than residents. Most of the buildings of the CERN and a part of the international airport of Geneva -Cointrin located in the municipality.
