Mustakivi ( German for " Black Stone " ) is a district (Estonian asum ) of the Estonian capital Tallinn. It is located in Lasnamäe district ( German " Laaksberg ").
The municipality has 17 571 inhabitants (as of 1 May 2010).
How very Lasnamäe dominate in the satellite town Mustakivi anonymous skyscrapers in Soviet slab construction the image. They were crushed in the 1970s and 1980s from the ground. The majority of the population is Russian-speaking.
The Laagna tee, a six-lane expressway between the Tallinn city center and Lasnamäe, ends in Mustakivi. The ten -kilometer urban motorway was during the Soviet period October prospectus. A proposed rapid transit route for a streetcar on the median strip has never been realized.
