Siili ( German for "hedgehog " ) is a district (Estonian asum ) of the Estonian capital Tallinn. It is located in Mustamae district.

Description and History

Siili has 3,723 inhabitants (as of 1 May 2010).

The satellite town was built 1971-1974. You is dominated by five - and neugeschossigen houses in bricks. In between are a shopping center and smaller shop building. Through lines and trolley buses Siili is connected to the Tallinn city center. In the western part of the municipality of the 5.9 -acre park Parditiigi park is located ( "Duck Pond Park ").

In Siili which was founded in 1991 as a private university Akadeemia North is located. She is from July 2010 Part of the State University of Tallinn. There, lawyers are trained primarily. The university building in Siili was completed in the 1980s and completely renovated in 2002.
