Nathanaël Berthon

Nathanael Berthon ( born July 1, 1989 in Romagnat ) is a French racing driver. It starts in the GP2 series since 2012.

Career

Like most racers began Berthon his career in karting, where he was active from 2006 to 2007. In 2008 he moved to Formula racing and entered both in the West European Formula Renault, where he finished 18th overall, and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, where he remained without points, at. In 2009, he remained in both racing series and started for Epsilon Euskadi. While he was in sixth place overall in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup achieved with a victory, he was with two wins third in the Western European Formula Renault. 2010 moved Berthon in the Formula Renault 3.5 champion for Team International Draco Racing and was teammate of Julian Leal. He was a good debut and scored on his second race in third place. Beginning of 2012 went Berthon for M2 Competition in the Toyota Racing Series, the highest single-seater series in New Zealand, at the start. A fourth place was his best result. He finished 12 of 15 races in the top ten. At the end of the season he was on the seventh place in the drivers' standings. He then moved to the GP2 series in which he took for Racing Engineering in the 2012 season. During the sprint race in Barcelona, he scored his first GP2 podium placement with a second place. At the end of the season Berthon was with two second places as the best results in twelfth place in the driver standings. He defeated his teammate Fabio Leimer, who finished seventh. In addition, he took part in two races in the French GT Championship. 2013 received Berthon at Trident Racing GP2 a cockpit. He scored only at the Hungaroring points. After eighth place in the feature race he won the sprint race from first place from starting. It was his first GP2 victory. He finished the season in 20th place overall and thus subject to our internal team Kevin Ceccon, who had lost his cockpit after the first half of the season. 2014 denies Berthon his third GP2 season for Venezuela GP Lazarus. After the first race weekend, he finished 20th overall.
