Nissan Violet

The Datsun Stanza (from 1985 Nissan Stanza ) is a 1977 to 1992 model built by the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan.

The Stanza was manufactured in four generations and temporarily offered in Europe. The first and second generation was from some details identical to that sold in Europe Datsun Violet, the third and fourth time with the same Datsun Bluebird largely identical.

Stanza (A10 ), 1977-1981

In the first stanza it was a stern -drive mid-size model, which was to have as a four-door sedan and five-door station wagon, powered by a two-liter four-cylinder. In Europe, not the Stanza, but the nearly identical Violet was offered. In Japan, the model was also offered as Nissan Auster.

Stanza (T11 ), 1981-1986

The Stanza of the second generation, which celebrated its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1981, was a stand-alone model and the first middle-class Datsun with front wheel drive.

The model was offered from November 1981 under that name in Germany and Europe. The program included a four-door notchback and five-door a hatchback, powered by a four-cylinder with 1.6 or 1.8 liters.

The four-door model was accounted for as of September 1984. In March 1985, came a cat version of the 1.8 -liter four- cylinder in the program.

In the fall of 1985, the export of the Stanza was terminated. Other name on the Japanese home market, with partially different equipment was Nissan Auster.

Stanza (T12 ), 1986-1989

The third stanza was largely identical with the Nissan Bluebird U12 and was sold in Europe as the Bluebird. The Stanza there continued as a four-door notchback and five-door hatchback, powered by a two-liter four-cylinder with five-speed manual or four-speed automatic available.

Stanza ( U12 ), 1990-1992

Only in North America, the fourth Stanza was offered in which it was a variant of the no longer sold in Europe and North America, Nissan Bluebird U12. This last stanza was powered by a 2.4 -liter inline four- cylinder and replaced in late 1992 by the Nissan Altima, which was initially marketed under the name Nissan Stanza Altima.
