Nizhniye Sergi
Nischnije Sergi (Russian Нижние Серги ) is a town in Sverdlovsk Oblast (Russia) with 10,336 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
The city is located on the western flank of the Middle Urals, about 120 km southwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Yekaterinburg at the Seryoga, a right tributary of the Ufa river system in the Kama.
Nischnije Sergi is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.
The town lies on the railway line which opened in 1916 Kalino ( at Tschussowoi ) - Kusino - Berdjausch, the former West -Ural Railway ( Западно - Уральская железная дорога / Sapadno - Ural schelesnaja doroga ). The station of the city is called Nischneserginskaja.
History
Nischnije Sergi was born in 1743 in connection with the establishment of ironworks Nischneserginski Zavod (Lower Seryoga - work, to distinguish it from the Upper Seryoga plant, Werchneserginski Zavod ), and received city rights in 1943. The name Seryoga means in the Komi language about Marten River.

Culture and sights
Nischnije Sergi is one of the oldest spa towns balneologic of the Urals. The healing waters of the place known since the first half of the 18th century and used since 1830.
In the vicinity of the place various natural beauties are to be found (mountains, the cave Druzhba, oak forests).
Economy
In Nischnije Sergi works for metal products, drilling equipment and agricultural tools and timber industry are located.
