Geography

The county Oberpfaffenhofen is in the middle of Bavaria. Neighboring counties are in the north next to the independent city of Ingolstadt the district of Eichstätt, in the eastern district of Kelheim ( government district of Lower Bavaria ), in the southeastern district of Freising, in the south of the district of Dachau, in the southwest of Aichach- Friedberg ( Regierungsbezirk Schwaben) and west of the district of Neuburg -Schrobenhausen.

Geographically, the district area is part of the majority of the Hallertau, the largest contiguous hop-growing region in the world. History
