Philip Leo O'Reilly

Philip Leo O'Reilly ( born April 10, 1944 in Corgreagh, County Cavan ) is a Roman Catholic bishop in Ireland.

Life

After leaving school, O'Reilly studied Catholic theology and philosophy. On 15 June 1969 he received the Sacrament of Holy Orders. He then worked among other things in Castletara as pastors.

On 20 November 1996, Pope John Paul II appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Kilmore. The Bishop of Kilmore, Francis Joseph MacKiernan, donated him on 2 February of the following year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Ireland, Archbishop Luciano Storero, and the Archbishop of Armagh, Seán Baptist Brady.

With the resignation of his predecessor, Francis Joseph MacKiernan on October 16, 1998, he followed them, as Bishop of Kilmore.
