The Swiss national ice hockey team is a selection of Swiss ice hockey players who represented the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation at international level. The players are called now and again " Eisgenossen ".
Following the resignation of longtime coach Ralph Krueger took over in spring 2010 Sean Simpson, the senior team. Consultant Simpsons is Andy Murray. Mathias Seger ( ZSC Lions ) is the current most-capped player.
At the World Championship 2013 in Sweden and Finland, Switzerland after nine wins and a 3-0 semi-final success against the United States the final against Sweden. Despite the 1:5 - final defeat that meant the most success since the first finals in the World Cup 1935.
