YÅ«suke Minato

Yusuke Minato (Japanese凑 佑 介, Yusuke Minato, born March 15, 1985 in Kita- Akita ) is a Japanese nordic combined.

Minato began his international career in 2002 with the launch at the Junior World Cup in Schonach, where he the 21th Place and the team reached the 6th place in the Gundersen. After the Junior World Championships Minato began jumping in B- World Cup Nordic Combined. After good results and there he gave on 6 December 2002 in Trondheim his debut in the World Cup Nordic Combined. At the Junior World Championship 2003 in Sollefteå he succeeded with the 10th place in the Gundersen reach the top 10 in the team competition, he came up with his team-mates on the 8th Place. In the sprint, he reached 27th place a year later in Stryn he was able to increase its performance even in the sprint. In the Winter Universiade in 2007 in Pragelato Minato won the gold medal in the sprint, in Gundersen the silver medal with the team and bronze. In February 2008 he moved firmly into the squad for the World Cup, and reached there in the 2008/ 09 season with the 36th place in the standings his best result to date. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009, he won jointly with Taihei Katō, Akito Watabe and Norihito Kobayashi gold medal in the team competition. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Minato reached the 26th place in the individual of the large hill.
