Condat-sur-Trincou

Condat- sur- Trincou, Occitan de Condat Trencor, is a commune with 480 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the north of the Dordogne in the Aquitaine region.

Etymology

Condat is derived from the Gallo-Roman name Condate from - with the meaning estuary, confluence. This should indicate both the mouth of the Trincou in the Côle and the Côle in the Dronne, both of which are located in the municipal area.

Geography

Condat- sur- Trincou is located five kilometers east-northeast of Brantome and 16 km south-southeast of Nontron (air line). The community is surrounded by the following neighboring communities:
