Rhêmes-Notre-Dame

Rhêmes -Notre -Dame is an Italian municipality in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. The municipality has 107 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012), is located at an average altitude of 1725 m above sea level. Sea level and has a size of 86 km ². The highest point in the municipality is the La Tsanteleina with 3605 m.

Rhêmes -Notre -Dame consists of the districts Artalle, Brenand, Bruil ( chef-lieu ), Carré, Chanavey, Chaudanne, Oreiller Pellaud, Pont and Thumel. The neighboring communities are called Ceresole Reale ( TO), Rhêmes -Saint -Georges, Tignes (France), Val d'Isere (France), Valgrisenche, Valsavarenche.

The scattering community Rhêmes -Notre -Dame is located along the road that leads through the Rhêmes Valley, a side valley of the Valle d'Aosta. The community lies on the edge of the Gran Paradiso National Park.

From the hamlet Thumel one can inn about 1:40 min to the refuge Rifugio Gian Federico Benevolo hike.
