Saint-Oyen, Aosta Valley
Saint- Oyen is a town in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. The municipality has 216 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012), is situated on the left bank of the Dora Baltea to an average height of 1373 m slm and has a size of 9 km ².
The neighboring communities are called Bourg -Saint -Pierre ( Switzerland ), Etroubles Gignod and Saint- Rhémy -en -Bosses.
Saint- Oyen is on the road to the Great St Bernard Pass. Parts of the old Roman road Via Francigena are seen in the vicinity yet.
From 1939 to 1946, the village was the Italianate name of Sant ' Eugendo.
