2007–08 Euroleague

The ULEB Euro League is an international basketball competition featuring the most leading European club teams. At the 2007/2008 season was attended by 24 teams. The season started on 22 October 2007 with the opening match between Prokom Trefl Sopot and CSKA Moscow and ended with the final on May 4, 2008 in Madrid, which CSKA Moscow won with 91-77 against Maccabi Tel Aviv. For Moscow, it wa the second title after 2006.

Participating teams

Group stage - Regular Season

In this first phase, the 24 teams will split into three groups (A to C) in both home and away games against each other until each team has completed 14 games. For the next round, the five best qualify from each group and the best group of sixth.

Group stage - Top 16

In the second phase of the Euro League, the remaining 16 teams were divided into four groups (D to G) of four teams. Here, the truncation of the regular season in the seedings for the draw reflects. Also in this phase come the teams of each group, in home and away matches against each other. The top two teams from each group will qualify it for the next round.

Play-Offs

In one mode, " Best-of- Three", the remaining eight teams competed in four team matches against each other. The group winners from the second phase enjoyed this case of any required third playoff venue. The four teams that could decide this for themselves duels, qualified for the Final Four tournament.

Final Four tournament

In a tournament which will be held between the 2nd and 4th May 2008, will occur, two teams in the semi-finals against each other. The winners qualify for the finals which shows the winner of the ULEB Euro League.

Semifinal

The semi-finals were held on 2 May 2008.

3rd Place Match

The match took place on May 4.

Final

The ULEB Euro League Final took place on May 4, 2008 at the Palacio de Deportes sports hall in Madrid.
