2011–12 Liga de Ascenso season
The 2011/12 season is the third season of the Liga de Ascenso, the second football league in Mexico. Compared to last year, when the league initially consisted of 18 teams, launched the 2011/12 season with only 16 teams. No longer were the case who quit as early as the winter break of the preseason Guerreros FC and retracted during the summer break Alacranes de Durango crews, Albinegros de Orizaba and Potros Neza and the División in the Primera Ascended Club Xoloitzcuintles Tijuana. New here are the Liga Primera descended from the Club Necaxa, which ascended from the third division Celaya FC and the place of his local neighbors Potros Neza engaging former first division team Toros Neza. The season ended with 15 teams, after the Indios de Ciudad Juárez had received no license because of high debt for the back round championship.
