2011 Ironman 70.3 World Championship

The 6th Ironman 70.3 World Championship is the year-round discharged in 23 different countries in 2011 Ironman triathlon racing series in the World Triathlon Corporation, which takes place in a World Championship every year since 2006.

Organization

In addition to the Ironman race series over 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.195 km running is an Ironman 70.3 triathlon half of the classic Ironman distance. In an Ironman 70.3 races are accordingly 1.9 km swim (and thus slightly different from the conventional 2 -km distance of the middle distance ) covered, 90 km on the bike and as the final discipline is the half- marathon route over 21.1 kilometers continuously to cope. Out of the total distance of 113 km or 70.3 miles is also the name derives from.

The Ironman 70.3 World Championship will take place on September 11, 2011 in Las Vegas in the USA. In the qualifying race around the world can be, just like in an Ironman race for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualifying.
