Anthuan Maybank

Anthuan Maybank ( born December 30, 1969 in Georgetown, South Carolina) is an American athlete who came into existence in 1995 and 1996 as a runner over 400 m and 200 m.

In 1995 he won at the World Student Games in Fukuoka over 200 m in 20.46 sec with a hundredth ahead of his compatriot Dave Dopek. In 1996 he finished the final of the Grand Prix in Milan behind the superior in 44.53 sec winner Michael Johnson 2nd in 45.19 sec ago Derek Mills in 45.24 seconds and won in world-class Zurich.

However, he had his big appearance in the same year at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, where he 400 m as a member of the 4 × - Season won the gold medal. His nomination as circuit rotor from Lamont Smith, Alvin Harrison and Derek Mills was surprising, as Maybank did not count at that U.S. elite over 400 m. His best finish at the state championships was a 4th place about 200 meters ( 20.27 seconds) in 1995.
