Demetrius Pinder

Demetrius Pinder ( Demetrius Pinder Rashad, born February 13, 1989 in Grand Bahama ) is a Bahamian sprinter who specializes in the 400 -meter run.

In 2011 he was the NCAA indoor champion and reached at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu the semifinals. At the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul in 2012, he won silver.

His greatest success came Pinder at the Olympic Games 2012 in London. Together with Chris Brown, Michael Mathieu and Ramon Miller, he presented the Bahamian Season in 2:56,72 minutes a new national record. This means that the quartet secured a surprise gold medal in front of the favored U.S. team.

Demetrius Pinder is coached by Pat Henry. He studied at Texas A & M University, is supervised by Charisma Sports Management and sponsored by Nike.
