Bermersheim vor der Höhe
Bermersheim of heights is a municipality in the district Alzey- Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Alzey- Land, which has its headquarters in the city of Alzey.
Geographical location
As a wine-growing village Bermersheim is before the height in the largest wine-growing district of Germany and driving middle of the wine growing region of Rheinhessen.
History
In the year 768 the place name was first mentioned on the occasion of a sale of goods to the Lorsch Abbey.
The suffix " vor der Höhe " bears the municipality since 1 April 1971.
Parish council
The local council in Bermersheim before the height consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
