Boissano

Boissano ( in Ligurian: Boinsan ) is a municipality with 2484 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Savona.

Geography

Boissano is an agricultural center on the slopes of Monte Ravinet ( 1061 meters). The community is located between the rivers Varatella and Rio Nimbalto. It belongs to the Comunità Montana Pollupice and is approximately 39 km from the provincial capital Savona.

According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity, the community of Zone 3 was assigned. This means that Boissano is in a seismically active zone little.

Climate
