Andora

Andora is a town on the Ligurian coast in the province of Savona ( Italy) with 7523 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) at 31 km ². It belongs to the Comunità Montana Ingauna.

Geography

Andora is located on the Riviera di Ponente.

Andora borders the municipalities of Alassio, Cervo (IM), Garlenda, Laigueglia, San Bartolomeo al Mare ( IM), Stellanello, Villa Faraldi (IM) and Villanova d' Albenga.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the fractions ( hamlets ) San Pietro, San Bartolomeo, San Giovanni, Castello, Rollo, Conna and Colla Micheri.

Coat of arms

Description: The coat of arms is divided in silver and blue and has a red top continuous wicked cross. A gold bar is slanted right about everything. Above the shield an olive and an oak branch is a silver siebentürmige mural crown and the sign foot tied with a ribbon in the Italian national colors.

Twinning

Andora is twinned with Larvik in Norway closed in 2006. ( The 2002 late in the fraction Colla Micheri Thor Heyerdahl was born in Larvik)
