Boll is a municipality in the Saale- Holzland. Fulfilling community is Stadtroda.

Geography

Bollberg between Stadtroda and the Hermsdorfer cross at the Federal Highway 4, exit Bollberg / Stadtroda. Geographically, the town is located in the countryside of the Saale- Elster- sandstone slab in eastern Thuringia.

Adjacent communities are clockwise Bobeck in the north, Schleifreisen in the east, the south and Morsdorf Quirla in the West.

History

1425 was the first mention of documentary Bollberg.

In Thuringia, the agricultural research system was in 1963 assigned to the Departments of Agriculture of the districts. Therefore we established a working group field research at the Institute Tautenhain. They worked on the experimental sites Schleiz and Eliasbrunn on slate soil and Schöngleina on limestone as representative sites for the district.
