Borgo San Giacomo

Borgo San Giacomo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5579 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The community is located about 29.5 kilometers southwest of Brescia in the Parco Nord dell'Oglio and directly borders the province of Cremona. The southern boundary of the municipality is the Oglio.

History

1485 was the fortress, the Castello Martinengo, built in the district Padernello. In 1927, the municipality of Borgo San Giacomo were connected today's districts and independent towns at that time Acqualungo, Farfengo, Motella and Padernello.
